Walk-ins are welcome Monday and Thursday mornings 9-12 (noon)

The CEO oversees and administers the day-to-day operations of the Building & Zoning Department.

Please contact the Building & Zoning Department to aid you with any of the following items:

  • Building Permit and associated inspections
  • Special Use Permit
  • Change of Use
  • Complaint regarding suspected Zoning Violations
  • Appeal of CEO's Determination to the Zoning Board of Appeals
  • Application to the Zoning Board of Appeals for Area Variances or Use Variances
  • Application to the Planning Board for Special Use Permit, Subdivision or Site Plan
  • Issuance of Official Street Address

The CEO also has the following responsibilities:

  • Fire & Safety Inspections
  • Operating Permits
  • Coordinate Planning Board Applications
  • Flood Plain Administration
  • Enforce the New York State Uniform Fire Protection and Building Code

Electrical Inspections:

Are conducted by the following third-party inspectors approved by the Town:

Commonwealth Electrical Inspection Service, Inc 800-437-5799

Middle Department Inspection Agency - Office: 800-432-5191

New York Electrical Inspection Agency - Office: 585-436-4460

Waste Water Treatment System Inspections are conducted by OTN certified wastewater inspectors including Ontario County Soil and Water Conservation District at 585-396-1450
