It is our belief that the individual(s) that dialed 911 and requested our assistance fully expect us to arrive with the equipment, training, and experience to handle the situation promptly, safety and professionally.
We take this public expectation very seriously! New recruit firefighters are required to take the New York State Basic Fire Fighter Course as a minimum, and continuing education is always expected. We regularly conduct in-house departmental training; attend Ontario County fire schools, New York State Fire Academy Classes, and other such educational opportunities when available.
