THE HOPEWELL TOWN HALL WILL BE CLOSED ON FRIDAY, JULY 3RD - - - RECYCLING HOURS - - -   Wednesday, July 1st extended hours from 4:00 PM - 9:00 PM - - - Saturday, July 4th - CLOSED.

Town Hall Survey:  In September of 2008, the Hopewell Town Board submitted a proposal to the residents of Hopewell to construct a new town hall, which was defeated.  The Town Board must address the requirements to update and modernize the current facilities.  Please complete the Town Hall survey by July 14, 2009.  The survey was mailed out to most residents on Tuesday, June 30th.  You can either complete this survey on-line (follow link on left - Town Hall Survey) or drop off/mail to:  Hopewell Town Hall, 2716 Co Rd 47, Canandaigua, NY 14424.  One survey per resident please.  Thank you. 

TOWN OF HOPEWELL REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS:  To dismantle, relocate, and/or dispose of the 40' x 45' galvanized steel pole barn.  Proposals are due July 14, 2009 and all work must be completed no later than August 1, 2009.  Follow link on left for further information.

Town Board Meeting:   REGULAR MEETING scheduled for 7/15/09 (Wednesday) @ 7:00 PM.  

Planning Board Workshop and Meeting scheduled for Monday, 7/20/09.  Workshop begins @ 7:00 PM with meeting to follow @ 7:30 PM.

ZBA Meeting tentatively scheduled for Monday, July 27, 2009 with a workshop beginning @ 7:00 PM and meeting to follow @ 7:30 PM.

 

 
 


Hopewell Town Hall

The Town of Hopewell, incorporated in 1822, and located in Ontario County covers approximately 36 square miles.  The Town strives to be a premiere community in Ontario County and the greater Finger Lakes Region, providing a high quality of life to its residents, and an attractive location for appropriate economic development.  Every effort is being made to ensure that future generations inherit a community with a clearly defined identity and a sense of place that celebrates Hopewell's unique assets.



Hopewell is home to the Pageant of Steam (held annually beginning the 1st Wednesday of August) which commemorates the Town's agricultural history and that of its neighboring communities and to the Finger Lakes Performing Arts Center, which offers a wide variety of  concerts in addition to being the summer home to the Rochester Philharmonic Orchestra.  Please direct your attention to the Tourism section to learn more about these and other events offered in Hopewell throughout the Year.
